The owner of Hair Tyme, Joyce Ese, decided to celebrate her birthday a little different this year. Instead of the typical birthday party, she collaborated with E.W. Catering, DanitoJo, Lavish Décor Designs, Candy Shack, Black, and Hustlegrade in hosting a “Back-to-school” Sunday Fun Day in the parking lot of the Hair Tyme salon. Sunday Fun Day gives local businesses and communities in Alief a chance to donate school supplies for all the children attending the event. The donation drop locations are Hair Tyme and The Candy Daiquiri Shop locations listed on the flyer below. They are accepting all school supplies and all of the kids in attendance will receive a backpack with school supplies; so they encourage everyone to drop off donations by August 12th. While most people associate Sunday fun day with brunch and mimosas this Sunday Fun Day will be a FREE family friendly event all about the kids. There will be a wipe out, obstacle course, and a lazer tag bouncy houses, a Velcro wall, tug-of-war, Uno, a balloon fight, and what would a Sunday Fun Day be without a pie eating contest? You will also have a chance to enter raffles and win some amazing prizes! Alief's very own Tobe Nwigbe will be hosting the event. DJ APlus will be spinning tunes, while Daddy Know's Kitchen will be broadcasting a live cooking session. With all the activities you will be probably be famished so Sunday Fun Day will also be providing free food and beverages for all of the attendees. Barbers will be giving a way free haircuts for school aged kids from 1pm-5pm first come first serve. Sunday Fun Day will be held August 13th from 1pm-6pm in the Hair Tyme parking lot with free valet service provided. Sunday Fun Day will be a super fun-filled event that you
won’t want to miss!
