Submission Sundays Live - April 9, 2017
So many dope artists submit their music to Hustlegrade, and we want to show some appreciation for that.
On Sunday, April 9 the Hustlegrade team and four Houston based artists will be at Alley Kat for the first installment of Submission Sundays Live!
Taking the time to submit music to media outlets is a necessary evil of building a career as an artist. All that work should amount to something when you are making quality art, right? Thanks to some really dope people in our city including Alley Kat Bar & Lounge and The Waxaholics, Hustlegrade has the pleasure of taking those submission emails to the stage.
Strictly based on submission emails we have received over the past month, the Hustlegrade team would like to present:
Submission Sundays LIVE
Mickey Woods Jr.
Envy Hunter's newest release, "Still On It" was featured on Volume 4 of Submission Sundays, in case you missed it. Although fairly quiet before releasing "Still On It". Envy has been a consistent go-to for no holds barred rap music in Houston for awhile now. Plus, you can always count on him for a dope performance. Come find out what Envy has up his sleeve!
Noah Nova recently released a dope project called Changes that everyone should listen to. In fact, Noah's track "Long Time" was featured in Submission Sundays: Volume 3. With a smooth mix of straight rapping and sangin', Noah is guaranteed to put on a hell of a show. Go listen to Changes and you will probably hear some familiar tracks!
Mickey Woods Jr.
Currently, Mickey Woods Jr. is in the process of releasing a series of seven tracks; the second of which, "These Days" was featured in Submission Sundays: Volume 4. Woods' powerful lyrical ability matches the dope vibes his music creates, we are excited to see him perform live. Catch up on some of Woods' music here before the show.
Another long-time resident of the dope artists table, Jay-Von has submitted music and playlists both to Hustlegrade. Jay-Von's latest release F**k A Title EP was featured on our very first Submission Sundays and two playlists he curated for Before and After SXSW were also featured on Hustlegrade. Go listen to F**k A Title if you aren't familiar with Jay-Von and get ready for an energetic, real rap show!
Thank you not only to the artists above but everybody who is helping us create a platform for creative greatness by sending up their art, everyday.
Come out and bring a friend to Alley Kat Bar & Lounge (3718 Main St.) this Sunday, April 9 to hear some great music; we will be upstairs starting at 6pm. Whether the artists are familiar or new to you, they are sure to impress. Special shoutout to Yobi Yobz for providing the sounds for the night and being a dope part of the Hustlegrade family.
